“Chai” (חי) translated from the Hebrew means LIFE. Hebrew letters also hold numerical value. “Chai” which is comprised of “Chet” (8), and “Yud” (10), adds up to 18, giving this number special significance for many Jews.
There are four elements that are the cornerstones of our earthly experience. Each are reflected in the corners of the art piece.
The upper left represents Fire and signifies energy and action. The upper right represents Air and signifies communication, mental clarity and speech. The bottom left represents Water and symbolizes feelings and emotions. The bottom right corner represents Earth, and stands for material objects, prosperity and physical abundance.
The center area radiates out with multi-colored undulating layers from a blue celestial center. This a reminder that the source of Life comes from our Creator.
At the bottom, an opening lotus stands as the quintessential symbol for the blossoming beauty of creation.
