The Torah is divided into 4 levels of learning. The third level, Drash, is where the metaphorical or homiletic meanings are presented. These are extensively studied through the Midrash.
The “Drash” design features an image of the hands of the Kohanim as they raise them to receive divine blessings, becoming the conduits for blessings from G-d to be bestowed over the congregation. Flanking them on either side, are graceful, yet strong gazelles that seem to guard and protect the sacred words of Torah. A beautiful crown also appears, reminding us of the treasure that we have been given by Gd.
